Ooh yeah Medway medieval longbow shoot time again!! And this year they did have the pig! Lots of people dressed up looking stupid twanging wooden sticks at cloth wrapped straw things. Talking of which…
The roast pig was fantastic, so were the two tankards of cider I was forced to consume.
I ended up coming fourth by 1 hit, but Crown Archers ruled the day and won the team medal.
A fun shoot was organised afterwards with everyone shooting for a purse, no-one managed to hit the string, so the winnings went to the kids, one of whom was the closest! After that there was a fun shoot at vegetables on strings. I tallied 1 apple, 1 cabbage and two turnips.
Muwahahaha! The turnip must die!!
