12th and 13th May.
I woke up on Saturday after a poor nights sleep due to mum’s snoring (again). Peered out of the Travelodge window and the weather was overcast but fairly calm and looked a little chilly.
We found the ground no problem, unlike several years previously….anyway I was greeted by many familiar faces. I later learned that I’d been placed only 2 groups away from John Inson oh yay! My shooting was pretty average, but due to the fact I forgot my sight tapes, my distances weren’t quite right! I also forgot to pick up my binoculars, damn. Me and mum watched Eurovision that evening, I don’t think I’ve ever cried with laughter so much before.
On Sunday think I turned into a fish for the day. It absolutely chucked it down, thankyou to Adam Stevens for the towel - you are a lifesaver. Got a new marked pb of 290 in the pouring rain. One good thing though – I didn’t fall over all weekend!!
