Allington Indoors, Maidstone.

25th November 2007.

It must’ve been the warmest Lockmeadow shoot I’ve ever done. I only know this because I wasn’t freezing cold either that or they’ve fixed the heating!

As of the 17th this month I’ve changed my grip on the string so I won’t cause myself so much injury any more. I used to only use the top two fingers and load too much on the index finger, causing blisters after prolonged shooting. I’m just trying to get used to using my third finger so my groups currently aren’t what they used to be.

I decided to sacrifice the tournament to improve my form. It was successful in more ways than I thought. Not only did I succeed in using my fingers properly, I managed to win on what I consider measly scores! 273 for a Worcester and 549 for a Portsmouth.

The rest of the winter will be spent training my fingers and re-tuning my tiller and nocking point.
